First and Last is a nice, casual brunch place in Hartford. Order at the counter and find a table. They bring the food to you. The pepper and eggs were cooked nicely and to my request, good potatoes and the cheese muffin (a cheese danish only a muffin) is too die for. Good coffee too. Can't go wrong.

This is a local favorite. Think French Bakery. There's plenty of options for everyone. The avocado toast is my favorite. This one is made with eggs.
The breakfast panini sandwiches are really good. Nothing beats smoky bacon, fresh eggs and cheddar cheese. Basic but flavorful. If you're hungry for a good breakfast, First and Last Bakery is the place.

Nice place to stop in and get a bite to eat- whether for breakfast or lunch. You go up to the counter to order your good, then get a number to place on your table. Staff then bring out your food to you when it is ready. They have a nice selection of foods- eggs/omelets, French toast, breakfast sandwiches, etc. All cooked to order. The food was good- nice sized portions, and well prepared. The atmosphere is a bit on the spartan side, but not bad. Good stop for a hearty breakfast!

Counter service was a bit off today, but after being ignored for quite a while we were able to order.

These pastry items are top notch.  The interior décor is so warm and inviting.

    I love this spot.

The people are very nice here.  I had egg whites  with bacon.   My mom had the same.  Our meals came with a muffin.  The most delicious muffin ever.  I believe they had walnuts, and I hate walnuts but I ate every bite.

My egg whites were not fried and was very healthy.  The home potatoes were good.
